THE POWER OF MEMORY RECALL

Case Study - A story of our podcast co-host.

During a round of golf at PK, Australia's very own PGA Tour commentator Luke Elvy once filmed and commentated my Mental Mastery Podcast Co-Host Rossco, playing a seventy-metre pitch shot into the Par Five 3rd hole at Peninsula Kingswood North Course.

After the round, he sent the video to Ross. Little was Luke aware that in particular that very hole and shot was the source of most of Rossco's in round frustration for a plethora of reasons.

What Luke had now created for Ross was a lasting memory of his near-perfect pitch shot, almost holing out for eagle and setting up a tap in birdie.

Now, I know the impact that this memory has had on Ross and his performances on this hole, and that type of shot in the 12 months since, because we have discussed it at length.

With the ability of crystal clear memory recall of this scenario, Ross is now able to access the positive triggers and imagination required to create CONFIDENCE during the pre-shot on his once nemesis hole and anxious shot and that transfers to other holes and similar distance shots.

The sound of Luke's voice, the sound and recall of the crisp wedge shot landing in the correct area come flooding back with such an ease and clarity that it allows Ross to clearly access a great mental space and a great memory.
